Perspective and your words - they matter!
In the beginning, God created everything and it was GOOD! All that He did in that time was amazing and revealed much about who He is. Let’s take a look-see at some of His key traits.
Creative. He is into creating things. I mean, check out Genesis 1 and 2!
Visionary. He sees things that are to come, He is not fixated nor stuck on the here and now.
Talker. He loves to speak and when He speaks, life happens.
A do-er. Not all talk, He speaks things into being then takes action to see them flourish.
As He was creating with His spoken voice, He said, “Let us make man in our image…” and so it began. As human beings, we have similar characteristics to our Dad, God . . . and this is how we are supposed to live.
Creative. Visionary. Speaking life. Taking action.
Now, the Lord created all with His spoken voice. He spoke and it was. We are called to the same as kings and priests to our God (Revelation 1:6). Kings decree. Priest liaise and commune with God. It’s a powerful combination.
Proverbs says that “death and life are in the power of the tongue”. James speaks much about its power in his epistle also (James 3). We can use our mouth to curse or to bless. Sometimes we do both all in the same day. Let this not be the case (James 3:10). Let us use our God-given weapon and authority to SPEAK LIFE.
It is vital that we have God’s perspective and viewpoint on every and any situation . . . and then speak accordingly. Don’t speak based on feelings or emotion or impulse - that’s not wise! Instead, listen to hear what the Spirit is saying and then, in accordance with His Word and leading, SPEAK LIFE and watch it unfold in front of you.
Whanau, our words matter. They really do. Let’s make sure we use them for GOOD.
