Thrive in ‘25 Part 2!

#1: Last week we looked at the importance of having VISION in order for success in 2025.
Consider the following aquatic animals at complete opposite ends of the spectrum - the cave dwelling salamander from Slovenia and the ocean dwelling orca…
Now don’t let the image fool you. The salamander only grows to about 30cm in length whereas the orca grows to about 7m in length! The salamander can be held in your hand; the orca weighs as much as a minivan…
The salamander lives in the caves of Slovenia, living off scraps that drift to the bottom and is without vision, completely blind.
The orca on the other hand roams and dominates the oceans of the world and has exceptional sight in and out of the water.
Allow me to share something super confronting yet true:
Those without vision are bottom feeders.
Bottom feeders scrounge around for anything that resembles food, groping in the dark feeding in the leftovers of the rest. Don’t be that guy! Those without vision eat the scraps of time, energy, money, etc., just making do with whatever is available or left over. Thats not living - that’s survival.
Those with vision excel.
Orca select their kai. They are strategic, purposeful and intentional. They eat the cream of the crop and enjoy all that is before them. Be that guy!
Wouldn’t you love to be an orca with your time, energy, money, relationships and the like!
To that end, purposefully set vision for each area of your life and begin to dominate those areas as opposed to simply living off the scraps.
#2: The second key for your success in 2025 I want to share today is spelt out plainly in Deuteronomy 28 and 30…
I mean, who doesn’t want to be blessed when you’re coming in, when you’re going out, when you’re in the country and/or in the city, wherever you are! These blessings will be POURED OUT upon everyone who . . .
OBEYS THE LORD
I know for a fact that obeying the Lord is super duper beneficial. Blessings follow obedience 100%! I’ve experienced the blessings as a result of obedience myself many, many times (and also the pain of not obeying… 🤦🏻)
Read both of those chapters and see what a plethora of blessings will be poured upon you when you choose to obey the Lord.
Given the fact that blessings follow obedience, it makes absolute sense that you must know the voice and instruction of the Lord in order to successfully obey Him.
To that end, please do the following action points . . . ASAP for your own good!
Action points:
Set aside time to be with the Lord
Go in prepared with an open heart, a journal, and a pen
Ask Him - Lord, what do You want me to do?
Wait upon Him . . .
Write down His instruction . . .
And go do it!
Please answer the following or you’re simply wasting your time and efforts reading this - and that’s the last thing I want - I want to see you take action on this and enter into all the goodness that He has for you.
When are you meeting with Him?
How long have you set aside?
Where are you going to be?
Have you got your journal and pen?
How will you ensure that you have zero distractions?
Go for it whanau. Nail this. And in doing so, reap the harvest and fruit and blessings the Lord outlined in Deuteronomy.
Disobedience = sin.
Obedience = blessing.
Choose life today!
